WHY I WRITE

I keep communities connected with their athletes and teams even when the game is far away. I strive to showcase the best that these communities' young men and women have to offer.

Growing up attending a small school, and watching my siblings go through the same thing, I realize that there are too many stories and experiences that go untold. Bigger economies dominate the media and throttle the smaller, but still important stories. It's the school making the playoffs for the first time, a community rallying around a family, a coach instilling perpetual excellence in their program that makes sports so special. It is my mission to tell these smaller stories, to share viewpoints not often discussed, and to tell stories from overlooked demographics.
